C36000 Brass is copper, alloyed with lead and zinc.  C360 is also known as Free-Cutting and Free-Machining brass because it has a 100% machinability rating, and is the standard against which all other copper alloys are compared.  CDA 360 brass is also strong, with a strength similar to that of leaded steel.  With its combination of machinability and strength, C360 Free-Cutting brass is one of the most commonly widely used copper alloy and is ideal for automatic screw machine applications.  Common uses include consumer goods, hardware, medical and automotive applications.

Marmetal stocks C36000 Free-Machining Brass in Bar form.
