Jerry Lynd - President

Jerry has been the president of Marmetal since 2001. Jerry began his career with Marmetal in April 1980. When he applied for the position of warehouse worker he didn’t have aspirations of owning the company. He thought it would be a temporary position and continued to look for other opportunities.

Jerry’s knowledge and talents quickly moved him to the position of shop foreman than eventually into sales. As the old saying goes “nothing is more permanent than temporary”. So, at Marmetal he works, almost 25 years latter working more hours then he ever dreamed. His hard work is paying off, he understands the business, provides quality products and service to every customer and expects the same commitment from each and every employee.

Bill - Quality Control Manager

Bill has been an integral part of Marmetal since metal was discovered. Bill has been here so long he was hired on a handshake and has never had to write a resume. Bill’s knowledge of quality assurance is a great asset to Marmetal. Marmetal relies on Bill to make sure all of the material conforms to government, national and customer standards. His inspections start when the material is ordered. The process continues when the product is received and before being shipped to assure the continuity of the certifications.

The Dynamic Sales Staff

The Dynamic Sales Staff is always busy writing quotes and fulfilling customer’s orders. Their philosophy is to fulfill the customers’ needs to the best of their ability. They have been able to turn orders around in a single day for emergency jobs and critical projects. If its material you need give them a call, they can also handle request for in-house machining. The sales staff can be contacted by fax, e-mail, snail mail and phone.

Jim & the Machinists

Jim has 27 years experience as a toolmaker. His department has Vertical Milling machines capable of handling material 25”wide x 50” long. The CNC lathe can handle up to 15” diameter. With full CAD capability he can do 2 and 3 dimension milling. Mike has a full complement machine shop that will handle delicate hand tapping of blind holes, as well as turning large flanges. Mold plates have become a specialty for his department.

No job is too small for Jim ’s crew. They can handle short and long production runs. They like a good challenge!

Warehouse Production Workers

Marmetal carries a wide range of product and sizes. If you don’t need the entire plate we can cut it to size on our Oliver Plate Saw. We cut 4” thick plates without a problem. If it’s a lighter gauge metal you need, let us “Shear” it to a manageable size. Why struggle with a heavy bulky plate when our staff has the tools and equipment to make your job easier.
